Create ledger account
A general ledger is prepared from several general ledger accounts. This provides insight into the costs and revenues of a company. Every ledger account has a unique number and description. The general ledger accounts are divided into balance sheet accounts and profit and loss accounts. Examples of balance accounts are a building, machines and depreciation. Examples of income statements are turnover and purchasing costs.
To create a general ledger account, go to General Ledger Accounts. Here choose 'New' and fill in the required data.
