Group bookings
In BEX CMS, it is possible to realise group bookings via your own website. You can choose whether or not to enable group bookings on your website. By default, group bookings are not enabled. Do you want to offer group bookings on your website? Read below how you can set this up yourself.
Activate group bookings on your website
In the BEX CMS, go to the 'Search & book settings'. On this page, at the very top of the settings, you have the option to activate 'Multi booking'.
What happens next on the website?
- A shopping basket will appear on the website. The shopping basket is located to the right of the search and book button in the main menu.
- On the accommodation page, instead of a 'Book now' button, an 'Add' button will now appear.
- The search and book page will now also show an 'Add' button.
- When a visitor adds an accommodation to his shopping basket, this will be shown in a pop-up. Using this pop-up, the visitor can proceed to the booking process or continue looking at additional properties to add.
- A visitor can add up to 5 accommodations in a group booking.
What happens in the booking process?
In the booking process, the following will be asked for each chosen accommodation:
- the travel group
- the extra amenities
- a select on map
- the desired upgrades
Only the main booker's personal data will be asked for in the booking process. In this, nothing will change compared to the existing checkout.
- A group booking can only be made when more than one accommodation is added, where the period of stay is equal to each other for at least 1 day.
- The amount for a group booking is max. 5 accommodations
Note: when allowing group bookings on your website, it's a good idea to check your current Google Tag Manager setup to make sure that all desired data is being pushed through to the desired marketing channels (Analytics, TradeTracker, Facebook, etc). As a matter of fact, where previously only 1 accommodation could always be booked, multiple accommodations can now be booked.
