Add POS products

Add the products you want to sell to the POS module. These will be available in all created cash registers.

To add POS products, a register must already have been created and your user account needs the 'Setup' rights. If you do not have these rights, consult your manager.

Go to the registers overview and click 'Products' on the right. Click on the '+New' button at the top right to add a new product. Then fill in the requested data and click 'Create pos product' to save.

Read on for more information about the settings of a POS product.

Description

The description of the product is the name that is shown in the POS module and on the receipt. For example 'Bicycle routes' or 'Lunch to-go'. This field can be a maximum of 15 characters long.

Image

Adding a suitable image makes products easier to distinguish in the register. For best results, keep image format 140x105, or the same scale size. When saving, the image is reduced to 140x75.

Price

The price you enter here is per item and includes VAT. It is possible for a product to have a price of 0.00 euros, i.e. free. A single product cannot contain multiple prices, for this you will have to create multiple products or manually adjust the price after adding it to the order. Ledger account

Every product must be linked to a suitable ledger account. If necessary, you can create a ledger account in the 'Financial' module.

Edit or delete a POS product

You can always edit POS products. Click the product name in the product overview and you can adjust all information. Click 'Delete' at the top right to remove this product from the register entirely.

Order of POS products

The order in which products are displayed in the register can be adjusted. Drag the products up or down using the button with the three dashes to the left of the image. This way you can organise your register.

It is not possible to create folders or to categorise products.
