Utility advance invoicing
It is possible to charge a utility cost advance to an owner. You can create utility cost advances in the standard periodic costs.
Creating a utility costs advance
To create a utility costs advance, create a new standard periodic cost. It is important to check the Utility Advance box. Only then will the periodic cost item be marked as an advance for settlement with the meter reading invoice later.
In addition, you choose how often you want to charge the advance and then enter a price and link the general ledger account. Again, you can enter multiple prices. Suppose the price is increased next year, you can already enter this in the standard periodic cost item.
For standard periodic cost items where an annual amount, annual amount with a fixed date, quarterly amount, or monthly amount has been entered, an expected periodic invoice is prepared. This does not apply if you choose a fixed price per invoice.
Overview of standard periodic cost items
In the overview of the standard periodic cost items, you will see a tick in the "Utility advance" column if the periodic cost item has been designated as a utility advance.
