Introduction: Reservation import

Yes! You are going to work with Booking Experts. With your team, you have ensured that all properties, the different costs, and prices have been entered.

Based on this data, (new and returning) guests can book with you. We have to remember the guest who has already booked! That's why, around the date of going live, we do a full reservations import.

When you switch to Booking Experts, an import function can transfer existing reservations from the old system. This helps preserve historical data and ensures that no data is lost during migration. There are two different starting points to consider in this, which are the past and the future.

Efficiency: By importing reservations into Booking Experts, manual processes can be automated, saving time and effort.

The past

This consists of reservations where guests have already checked in and out and the departure date is in the past, of these guests you would like to include the data so that you can see a complete turnover of reservations in Booking Experts. Of these reservations, the turnover should not be included in the new financial administration but you would like to be able to view it in the statistics to be able to manage.

The future

This consists of reservations for which the departure date is today or in the future. For these, you do want to include the turnover in the financial administration, because the guest may still have an outstanding invoice. This must then be processed in Booking Experts. You also want to take all the necessary data from these guests, for example, to include them in car emails and other ways of providing information about their stay.

Data integration: A reservations import can help integrate reservation data with other systems (Apps).
