Per channel you are able to assign an x number of accommodations per accommodation type to a channel. These accommodations can not be reserved via the website, back office or other tour operators.


Set allotments per channel

Creating an allotment for a channel can be done by following the steps below:

1. Use the gear icon in the upper right corner to navigate to Administration settings;
2. Select Channels in the right submenu;
3. Select the tab Allotments;
4. To create a new allotment, select Add a new allotment;
5. Select the accommodation type;
6. Select the start- and end date of the allotment;
7. Provide the number of accommodations you want to 'block' for this allotment;
8. Save by clicking Create allotment.


The allotment is now displayed in the overview and can be adjusted if necessary by clicking on the  I.

By using the filter you can display all created allotments that are made for a certain channel or type. In this overview you can also sort by start- or end date of the allotments.


How an allotment works

An allotment allows you to offer a predetermined number of accommodations of a specific type per channel. The number of available accommodations for the allotment is considered per day.

Below, you'll find an example of an allotment of one room for the period of May 2 to May 9:

Internal message "No more free availability"

If you get an internal message with the subject "No more free availability", the system is letting you know that there's no availability for other channels for the period stated in the message.

The message does not mean that the allotment is full for that period, but that no other channels can book for that specific period.

FAQ's

Does the allotment take into account the minimal number of nights to be reserved?
The allotment does not take settings for the concerned type into account. It only considers whether the assigned number of accommodations is available per day within that allotment.

I'm trying to enter a reservation for a specific period into the system for a channel. However, I receive the message that the allotment for the channel is full. How can I still enter this reservation?
When an allotment with this channel has been set and it is full, no reservation can be added for this channel. If you would still like to add this reservation, you'll have to increase or remove the allotment. You can do this by editing the allotment and reduce the number of accommodations or delete the allotment.
