Translation module BEX PMS

You can use the translation module to have content from both BEX PMS and BEX CMS translated automatically, saving you as a user a lot of time. New content is added and you are up to date in no time for all languages on the website. A complete and well-translated website ensures that visitors can easily navigate your website and make a Reservation.

Booking Experts works with native speakers all over the world. These colleagues are (at least) bilingual, making them fluent in both languages. By translating content into English first, we can offer the translations to a large group of translators. It is also possible to opt for translations via AI. This option is more cost-effective. In both cases, it is necessary to check translations.

The Translation module in BEX PMS

You, as a user, have the option to navigate to the translation module from Booking Experts. Here you can create translation settings, view progress and have content translated again. To do this, go to Translations via the gearwheel.

Turn on automatic translations

When you have not worked with translations before or want to set up a new language, you can set this up per language. Go to the translation module, choose for which languages you want to set up the translation module. Enter the e-mail address where you want to receive e-mails concerning the translations. Then indicate whether you want to order and/or approve translations automatically or manually. Then click on Set up translation service.

You can simultaneously create several translations with the same settings. You can also set the translations separately for each language if you want different settings for each language

Our employees have to check and complete a few things before activating the translations. If you wish, you can change settings for each language in the meantime.

By default, ordering and approval are set to automatic. But you have the option of choosing to order and/or approve translations manually.

Automatic ordering and approval

Select automatic ordering? Then the system automatically places an order with the translation module when the new content is live in Dutch and has not been edited for at least 1 hour.

Do you opt for automatic approval? Then the translations will be on your website automatically when all translations for a section are ready. This means less worry and more speed.

Manual ordering and approval

Considering manual ordering? Then you always have to go to the Translation module and order the translations manually.

Do you opt for automatic approval? Then the translations will be on your website automatically when all translations for a section are ready. This means less worry and more speed.

Do you choose manual approval? Then you have 72 hours to check the translations after they are ready. After this time, the translations are automatically approved.

If you set both ordering and approval to automatic, you can use the Translation module quickly and easily.

Change translation settings

To do this, go to Translations via the Cogwheel. Click on details next to the language you want to change the settings for. Then click edit.

You can now change the settings (instructions for translator, method of ordering, method of approval, E-mail address where you will receive notifications and the language of this E-mail). You can tell the translator whether you want formal or informal spelling, switch between automatic/manual ordering and/or approval, or change the e-mail address if you want to use a different one. These settings may differ per language. Then click save.
