Updating the stay of the reservation

In Booking Experts, you have the ability to update the stay of the reservation. For example, when a guest wants to extend the reservation or the stay has to be aborted halfway through anyway. You can distinguish between updating the rental price or the cost items and their price, or update both if desired. In this article, we'll explain to you what the different choices regarding updating mean.

Update rental price

You have the following options with regard to updating the rental price. First, it is possible to add an extra night, for example when someone wants to extend their stay by several nights. The extra nights added to the stay based on the current night price. So you may have 2 different night prices because the night price was different when the reservation was made.

You also have the option to recalculate the entire order. When you apply this setting, the rental price of the entire stay is recalculated. This is useful when the reservation is shortened so much, for example from 3 weeks to 2 weeks. Finally, you can also choose not to update the rental price. You then choose not to charge for the extra or fewer nights.

Updating cost items and their price

If you want to update the cost items and their price, but not recalculate the rent, you have the following options. You can choose to apply a full recalculation, for example when a cost item has changed in price, or when you want to apply object-related cost items after a booking has changed objects. In addition, you can choose not to update the expense items.
