Unconfirmed booking

This article provides more information about unconfirmed reservations.

When visitors open a reservation through the website, the details are saved in our system.

This information is only stored if BEX PMS is connected with BEX CMS.

If the visitor clicks "book" but does not fill in personal details, the reservation will remain valid for 20 minutes, after which our system will cancel the reservation. During this time, the reservation will be displayed in the overview as  "unconfirmed booking" and can be taken over from the visitor if you wish.

If the visitor does fill in personal details and then exits the reservation somehow, the reservation will remain for 8 hours and will be displayed in the "Reservation" tab under the "booking portal". Within the booking portal you can find the tab "Not yet completed".

The park then needs to contact the visitor within this period to see if the reservation can be completed or if it needs to be canceled as soon as possible. After 8 hours, the reservation is deleted and the park receives an internal message and an email with personal details so the visitor can still be contacted.

You can adjust the time an option remains valid in the administration settings, and even set it per channel.

Notification for uncompleted reservation

When a temporary reservation for which guest details have been entered is not completed you will receive a notification after 8 hours in your Booking Experts inbox in the upper right corner of the screen. By clicking on the subject, you can open the notification and view the details of the guest. This allows you to take action and contact the guest. 

Details of this internal message are also sent per email to the general email address of the park.
