Change VAT rate

🇳🇱 Nederlandse vertaling

The booked VAT rate will be fixed on the invoice line in Booking Experts, so no changes can be made to an invoice or receipt line in the past. If you have accidentally charged the wrong VAT rate on one or more invoice or sales receipt lines, you can change this.

1. Change general VAT rate
2. Change VAT on the invoice or receipt line itself
3. From the overview of invoices
4. From the checkout receipt overview

Change general VAT rate

It is of course possible to add a new VAT rate. By creating a new VAT rate and linking it to a VAT code from a certain period, you can make the desired adjustment.
Here's how you change the VAT rate for an existing VAT code:
1. Go to the Financial tab;
2. Select VAT in the right-hand submenu;
3. Select the VAT rates tab;
4. Click on the desired VAT name where you want to adjust the rate;
5. Click on  + Add another
6. Display the effective date and select the desired VAT rate;
7. Click on the button Update VAT code.

Note: You can remove the old VAT rate if you want to, provided that it is not used and is therefore not posted on an invoice line or receipt line.

2. In the line to be modified, click on the pencil that appears in the VAT rate when you move your mouse over it;
