Google Analytics to review email campaign results
Where can you view the results of your email campaign? In Google Analytics 4: a free online software that provides insight into the data from your emails. Use Google Analytics to gain insight into the number of visitors, reservations and total sales through email campaigns.
Through the following steps, you will find the results of your email campaigns:
- From the left menu, choose 'Reports'.
- Then click on 'Acquisition'.
- Then choose 'Traffic acquisition'.
- Then choose 'Session source/medium'.
- Filter on 'Session source/medium' = bookingexperts / email
- Select 'Session campaign' as the secondary dimension.
- You will then find the results of the email campaigns here. Per campaign, you can see the number of users, the number of transactions, the revenues and more.
We give UTM tags to links in e-mail campaigns by default, so you can easily see in Analytics how many people clicked through from the e-mail. By default, we include the following UTM tags:
utm_campaign={name of email campaign}
utm_medium=email
utm_source=bookingexperts
Where do I find the email campaign code in the CMS?
- From the left-hand menu, choose 'Email campaigns'.
- Then click on 'Email campaigns'.
- Select the desired e-mail campaign.
- At the top of the page, you will see the 4-digit code behind the email campaign.
