Facilities in the CMS
Facilities let guests know what they can do in your park and your surrounding area. Think, for example, of a swimming pool your guests can enjoy or a theme park nearby.
Create and edit facilities
To create and edit facilities, click on 'Facilities' in the main menu to the left. Click on the three dots next to an already existing facility to edit it. If you want to create a new one, click on '+New' in the top right corner.
Settings
Fill in the settings according to your needs and wishes. You can decide when a facility goes live and for how long. If you leave the publication date empty, the facility won't be shown on your website. If you leave the 'Publish until' field empty, your facility will remain live for an indefinite period.
An HTML description will be used instead of the normal description. The HTML description offers more options to design the text.
Link
If you choose 'Hide "more" link', website visitors can't click on the facility to find out more. If you want to provide more information, an external URL is useful to, for example, link to the website of a beautiful hike in your surrounding area. Or you offer more information on your own website by creating a details page.
A details page is automatically created under the facility's name. After saving your facility, you'll find it in the top right corner under 'View page'. Click on the button to edit the details page. You can also find the details page via the menu on the left by clicking on 'Pages' and using the 'Types' filter, searching for 'Facilities page'. You can always return to a facility from its details page by clicking 'View facility'.
Label
Add a label if you want to group your facility with others and place them on your website together.
Images
After saving a facility, the tab 'Images' appears above where you can add photos. Don't forget to name the images.
Disable and delete facilities
You can (temporarily) disable or delete facilities. To delete a facility, you click on the three dots and then on 'Delete'. Do you want to take a facility off your website for a while? Remove the publication date so that the field is empty. Put in a new date once you want your facility to be live again.
A details page is deleted once you delete its facility. The page cannot be deleted on its own.
