With the arrival of the App Store, the access link with Nedap MOOV has been converted to an application. In this article we explain how you can install it for your own administration(s).

1. Installing the application

In order to install the application you need to have access to the App Store, in this case there will be a market stall at the top of your Booking Experts menu bar. If you don't have this yet, ask Support to activate the App Store for you.

1. Click on the icon for the  App Store;
2. Then choose the  MOOV App;

3. In the application, click  Install;

4. Here is an overview of what the application can see in your administration(s);
5. Select the administration(s) for which this application is to be installed and click  Install;

6. The application is authorized. Click on OK to continue;

7. Under Commands, select  Settings;

8. Enter the following data:

* You can request this data from MOOV:
- URL*;
- Username*;
- Password*.
*Should you receive a URL that ends with /main.html, you should replace this with /rest.
For example:
https://demobookingexperts.nedapparkeren.net/main.html becomes:
https://demobookingexperts.nedapparkeren.net/rest
Save the settings.

The application was installed successfully! 🎉


2. Creating products

MOOV products can be used to automatically generate exemptions for registered license plate numbers of reservations in Booking Experts. This will allow guests to automatically check-in after a successful transaction. This will typically occur within 10 minutes of check-in.

1. Under Commands, choose Products;
2. Click on Add;
3. Enter the data;
  • Name of the product;
    The administration for which the product is valid;
    Identification type;
    The corresponding template within MOOV;
    Count groups (to be ticked if applicable);
    Count groups are used in a specific MOOV integration where the system keeps track of how many guests have entered and exited through a certain gate (with a stock). For example, think of the swimming pool with a maximum capacity of 250 guests.
    Free fields (optional) need to be set up in advance by Nedap within the MOOV environment;
    Max number of vehicles (suppose an owner may enter 6 license plates but per visit with 2 cars at the same time, fill in 2 here)
    Filters, if desired;
    By accommodation label;
    By type;
    By cost items;
    By mandatory charges;
    By extras (cost items chosen by the guest);
    Any fixed start and end time of the exemption;
    If desired, check 'Wait for check-in';
    This allows you to ensure that an exemption becomes active immediately when you check the guest in. If unchecked, the guest will only be granted access from the desired start time.
    If desired, check 'Automatic check-in'.
    This allows you to ensure that a reservation is checked in immediately when the license plate is registered at the barrier by the application.
  • If desired, check 'Deliver exemptions to guest'. If checked, choose how many days in advance you want to send the exemption to the guest.

Deliver generated exemptions automatically to the guest a given number of days before arrival. You can customize the app mail template 'MOOV exemption delivery' in Booking Experts.

  • Add the product and repeat as desired.

3. Exemptions from the reservation (add additional license plates)

It is possible to see the details of the exemption(s) known to MOOV for a reservation. Exemptions for reservations can be generated automatically based on the Products set. You can also add exemptions manually if, for example, a guest gets an additional access.

1. Go to the relevant reservation;
2. Click on Applications at the top and then choose MOOV: Exemptions;
3. Here you can see the details of the exemption;
4. If desired, click Add to add a new exemption for the reservation;

Please note that we fill in the possible reservation number and the name of the guest, together with the already known license plate or identification. You only need to replace the identification here for the additional license plate, for example.

5. Click on the ID to view the exemption data;

6. Here you have the possibility to see the following data:
  • The activities of the guest, which barrier or access was used and when;
  • The external data as known to MOOV;
  • The exemption data with creation and modification date.
7. Here you also have the option to perform the following actions:
  • Synchronize, if you have done an update which has not been processed immediately;
  • Edit, if you want to make adjustments to an existing exemption;
    • If you enter a second license plate in the identifications, it will be added to the exemption.
  • Delete, if you want to stop giving access to a guest with a certain exemption.

4. Exemptions at the owner

It is possible to view at the owner the details of the exemption(s) known at MOOV. Exemptions for owners cannot be generated automatically based on the set Products and have to be created manually at the owner.
1. Go to the relevant owner;
2. Click on Applications at the top and then choose MOOV: Exemptions;
3. Here you can see the details of the exemption;
4. If desired, click Add to add a new exemption for the owner;
5. Click on the ID to view the exemption data;
6. Here you have the possibility to see the following data:
  • The activities of the owner, which barrier or access was used and when;
  • The external data as known to MOOV;
  • The exemption data with creation and modification date.
7. Here you also have the option to perform the following actions:
  • Synchronize, if you have done an update which has not been processed immediately;
  • Edit, if you want to make adjustments to an existing exemption;
    • If you enter a second license plate in the identifications, it will be added to the exemption.

5. Setting up the application message template

When you have successfully installed the application, a tab will be shown under the Templates submenu, the Application Message Templates. You need to personalize and activate these before sending the access code.

1. Go to the Gear icon;
2. In the submenu, choose Templates;
3. Choose Application message templates;
4. Click on MOOV exemption delivery to edit it;
Please note! The tag {{ code }} should be used to show the code in the mail or text message.

5. If desired, choose to send the template by sms (for this you need to have a MessageBird account linked to the administration);
6. Save the application message template.


6. FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the card valid after the guest has checked out?

After the guest has checked out, the card will be valid for 30 minutes. This means that the guest has 30 minutes to drive past the gate. However, this works differently when the standard check-out time of an accommodation type is approaching. For example: the check-out time of an accommodation type is 11 am. At 10:45 am a guest shows up at reception to check out. This means the guest only has 15 minutes, instead of the standard 30 minutes, to drive past the gate.
