Connect a receipt printer

You can connect a receipt printer to every register that you have created in Booking Experts. The receipts are then printed via this printer to be given as proof of purchase.

Go to the register overview in the POS module and click the name of the register to which you want to connect a printer. If necessary, you must first open the register. Click the 'Edit' button at the top right. Here you have to enter a number of printer details to be able to connect it.

The printer you are trying to connect must be internet-enabled. It is not possible to connect a printer to the POS module via a cable.

Receipt printer host

This is the IP address or domain name of your printer.

Receipt printer port

This is filled in as 9100 by default. If this is not the case, or the connection does not work, please contact your IT service provider.

Receipt width

Here you determine the number of characters that fit on a horizontal line on your receipt. This setting, together with the width of the paper in your receipt printer, determines how large the letters are printed.

Click 'Save' to save the settings.

If you want to connect a different printer or change the IP address, edit the register again to adjust the settings.
