Settlement methods
There are 4 different ways to settle earned rental income with the owner. The options are on departure, on arrival, with overlap, and on confirmation, an all are relative to the dates of reservations on the owner's object.
On departure
Settlement method 'Departure' ensures that rental income from reservations is settled according to departure date. If an owner's settlement covers 1 to 30 September, all income from reservations with a departure date in September will be included.
On arrival
Settlement method 'Arrival' ensures that rental income from reservations is settled according to arrival date. If an owner's settlement covers 1 to 30 September, all income from reservations with an arrival date in September will be included.
With this settlement method, you can additionally set the reference date to a specific number of days before arrival.
If you set it to 14 days before arrival, the owner settlement for September will include all reservations with an arrival date between September 15th and October 14th.
NOTE: If a reservation is confirmed with less than 14 days until arrival, this reservation will not automatically be included in an owner settlement. Such reservations will have to be settled manually!
With overlap
Settlement method 'Overlap' ensures that rental income from reservations is settled proportionally across all reservation days. If an owner's settlement covers 1 to 30 September, and there is a reservation from 29 September to 3 October, then only the income from the September dates of this reservation will be included in the settlement. The rental income from reservations that fall into multiple settlement periods is therefore split. The remaining rental income of this reservation, from the days 1 to 3 October, will be included in the next settlement for October.
On confirmation
Settlement method 'Confirmation' ensures that rental income from reservations is settled according to confirmation date. If an owner's settlement covers 1 to 30 September, all income from reservations with a confirmation date in September will be included.
NOTE: This will also include reservations with arrival dates far into the future, and this method does not take into account that reservations may be cancelled in the meantime!
