Sections - How does it work?
Currently, only the 'Pages', 'Frontpage' and 'Articles' are available in sections.
When creating an 'Page', three tabs appear: Settings, Images and Content. The 'Content' tab takes you to the sections. It already contains a header and a footer by default, so you don't need to add these yourself. To add a section, click '+ Section'. Then you can choose the options: Slideshow section, Video section, Search & book bar section and Column section.
Slideshow section: With the slideshow section, you make sure the page starts with a header photo. It automatically grabs the photo set for the homepage here. You can change this in the Images tab.
Video section: With the video section, you can make sure the page doesn't start with a photo, but with a header video. You can set the video after selecting the video section.
Search & book bar section: This section allows you to put a search & book bar on the page.
Column section: The column section allows you to build your own page and fill it with content.
Template section: With the template section, you can, for example, make a form or unique features recur more often on a website. Read how to create a template and add it to the page in this support article.
Column section
The columns section gives you several options for building the pages. For instance, you can choose from different layouts, background transitions and colours.
Settings
When adding a column section, you have the option to select different options under the heading 'Settings'. Here, for example, you can choose to display the content across its entire width. You can use this with a slider, for example, to put it nicely across the entire width of the page. Under these settings, you can also adjust the padding at the top and bottom, creating extra white space above and/or below the section. For example, a setting of 16px results in one white line between sections and 32px results in two white lines. In addition, you can choose from various section layout options.
Visibility
In the 'Visibility' section, you have the option of adding a publication date to the section. If you do not specify anything specific, the system automatically uses the date the section was created.
Example where you could make use of the publication date: If you want to put information about the Christmas holidays on the website and you set this in the summer. You could indicate in the publication date that it should go live on 6 December and be taken offline again on 27 December, for example. This way, you don't have to remember to take the section offline yourself when the specific period has passed.
Appearance
Under the 'Appearance' heading, you have the option to add specific style features to the section. Here you can choose a background transition, background pattern, background colour or background image.
It is important to note that the background colours match the house style colours. If you want to add another colour, please email support@bookingexperts.nl.
