Booking portal
On the Dashboard page you will find the booking portal at the very bottom left. This booking portal is connected to the Search & Book of your website.
The booking portal is only shown if you also use BEX CMS by Booking Experts.
As soon as guests try to book via the website, this partial booking will appear in the booking portal. Through this functionality, reception employees can easily take over bookings from guests if they get stuck or if something goes wrong during the booking process.
Take over booking
Click the blue date & time link in the Dashboard or in the Booking portal to go to the online Search & Book and take over the reservation there. Or click the three dots in the 'Actions' column in the Booking portal overview, and then click 'Take over'.
When taking over via the button in the 'Actions' column, a reservation is immediately created, populated with the data known up to that point. You can then add and adjust data in this reservation page until you are ready to confirm the reservation and send the invoice to the guest.
Reminding guests to complete their booking
The booking portal also allows guests, who have not finalised their booking just yet, to finish their booking themselves at a later time. When guests enter their email address while booking, they automatically receive an email asking them to complete their booking if they have not done so already.
