Deposit items release and refund

If the guest has paid the full deposit amount, will your guest receive a full refund? The security deposit is automatically released based on the settings of your security policy. This offers the possibility to perform an additional check within the set time, for example whether any damage has occurred within your accommodation during your guest's stay.

The released deposit is added to the booking and can be found under Invoices to pay. If there is an outstanding balance on the Reservation, it may be deducted from the deposit.

Would you like to refund the deposit amount? This can be done via a batch payment or by individual refunds per invoice via Mollie.


Automatic refund of deposit

The deposit is automatically refunded if the following conditions are met:

  • All deposit items within the booking have been released.
  • The automatic release option is enabled in your deposit policy.
  • Payment was made through BEX Payments, and all payments for the Reservation were made using the same payment method.
  • The booking payment balance matches the total amount of the released security deposit.

Please note that automatic refund of deposit is only performed when you work with BEX Payments.
