Extend or shorten reservation

The length of stay of a reservation can be modified. Suppose your guest wants to stay an extra day, this can be added to the existing reservation.

Extend or shorten a reservation

To modify a reservation, first open the reservation. Look up the reservation via the Reservations tab or search via the general search bar in the top right of your screen.

Then click on the pencil icon behind the stay. Enter the desired departure date.

Next, you have 3 options to update the reservation.

Add extra nights

You add the extra nights to the current rental price.

Suppose the guest was originally supposed to stay 7 nights and now stays 8 nights then the price for the 7 nights will not be adjusted and only the current rental price of the extra night will be added.

Recalculate completely

The rental price of the entire stay will be recalculated.

If we keep the same example from above then for 8 nights the current rental price will be calculated.

Do not update

You do not charge for the extra or fewer nights. In this case, the rent will remain the same as before the change.

Then you get the option to choose what to do with the cost items in the reservation. Here you have 2 options.

Do not update

You use the cost items from the current order. The per-night items will be updated according to the length of stay. In this case, only the number is updated. The per-night price of the original reservation is maintained here.

Recalculate completely

You use the current cost items and their price for the entire stay.

In this case, the current cost item price will be calculated for the entire stay.
