Block

On a page, you can highlight something in any place. This is often done using a block to link to external pages. Do you want to link internally? Then take a look at the article on Placement.

Adding a block

You can add a block to a page by pressing the green + sign in the column where you want the illumination. Then select the 'Block' widget.

Set block

  1. Give the block a title and/or subtitle.
  2. You can automatically show/don't show a widget when you give it a date. Read the support article on the Publish and Unpublish date for more information.
  3. At URL, enter the link you want to point to.
  4. Choose whether you want the URL to open in a new tab or not.

Tip: Want guests to stay on your site? Then choose to open the URL in a new tab.

  1. Then optionally add a description.
  2. For media item, add an image.

Note: when adding an image, you should always tag it under media item description.

  1. Then choose the variant. This is the representation of the block where you can choose from several options.
  2. In Show for locales, select in which languages the block is visible.
  3. Then click save and press preview to view the result.
