Blocked periods

Rentals can be blocked from being rented out for a certain period of time, for example, due to maintenance. This way you don't have to take them out of rental.

Blocking individual object

Use the general search bar to find the object you want to block from renting for a certain period of time. In the Availability tab in the calendar, click on the day you want to add a block. Then choose 'New blocked period', enter the start and end date and the description of the blocking.

Should you wish to edit or delete the blocked period, click on the period.

Blocking Grouped types

Blocking a grouped type works the same as described above. However, because the grouped type is blocked, the underlying accommodations may also need to be blocked. This does not happen automatically. Grouped types therefore give you the option to copy a blocked period to the underlying properties.

This is only to create the blocked period. If you wish to edit or delete a blocked period, it will have to be done on the individual objects.

Block accommodations for rental on behalf of owner

If the owner has the ability to create and edit blocks themselves, then the owner can remove or edit the created block itself.

To do this, the owner must have the permissions Owner can view blocked periods and Owner can edit blocked periods turned on.

Overview of blocked periods

In Booking Experts you can see in the total overview which Blocked periods have been created. This overview can be filtered by period and exported. It is also possible to import Blocked periods.

Via the tab Blocked periods you can make a selection for a certain period. Via 'Export' it is possible to export the blocks. You can import an overview of blockages. When you click on 'Import' you can download an example file. You can then fill it in to import.

Blocking through the planboard

Rentals can also be blocked from rental through the Planboard. Go to the Planboard select the period you want to block. Click 'Block' on the pop-up screen. Click 'Block multiple' if you want to block more objects of this type.
