Making group bookings

Within Booking Experts, it is possible to make group bookings.

In the back office, you can record several properties or pitches in one booking. Useful if a family or group of friends wants to stay together.

Group bookings via the website

A guest can make a group booking via the website if you have enabled the multibooking option in the CMS. You can turn this option on via the search and book settings. The multibooking checkbox is at the very top of the search and book settings. Read more about this here.

Do you only use our search and book service and want to enable multibooking? Then please contact us at support@bookingexperts.nl and we will check this box for you.

Making or adding a group booking from within the Reservation

When you open a Reservation, you will see the reservation details and information about the main booker on the left. On the right-hand side you can add underlying reservations. Under the Booking heading, click Add Reservation. The Planboard will open and you can see the reservation that has already been made through the grey bar. In the Planboard you can go to the object you want to add to this Reservation. On the desired arrival date, click the plus sign in the line of the object you wish to add. Then drag to the desired departure date and click Make Reservation. Enter the number of persons. If the guest specifically chose this object, you can tick it.

Do you want to link several reservations? Then repeat these steps.

Add group booking to existing reservation from Planboard

If you navigate to the planboard, you can add underlying booking to a reservation from there. Find the Reservation in the Planboard. When you click the reservation, a summary of the reservation opens on the right-hand side of the screen. Here you can click + Add Reservation. Follow the steps as mentioned above under Create or add group booking from reservation.

Please note! You can add a maximum of 52 reservations per booking.

The underlying reservations may have different arrival and departure dates. Useful if one of the underlying Guests wants to stay a few days longer!

A group booking is not meant to bundle several reservations with different arrival and departure dates on 1 invoice. However, an overlap in arrival or departure dates is necessary.

For example, a business customer has made a booking for 1 June to 15 June and 1 September to 15 September. This requires you to make 2 separate bookings and you cannot use group bookings.
