Minimum and maximum prices for costs

When creating or editing a cost, it is possible to set a minimum or maximum price for it. You might use a maximum to prevent a charged cost amount from becoming too high, or a minimum to ensure that the start-up costs of a variable cost item are always covered. Examples include a minimum amount for a cancellation insurance, or a maximum amount for renting a children's cot.

Similarly to the standard price, various price calculations can be applied to the minimum or maximum price to be set; such as per stay, or per night.

Examples:

Bedlinen has a price of €2,50 per person per night. You apply a maximum of €50 per stay. The Rivers family stays for 7 nights, with 3 people. Calculation: 3*7*€2,50 = €52,50. This is more than the set maximum, which means the maximum amount of €50 is charged.

Your cancellation insurance cost is set at 5% of the total rent amount. You add a minimum of €30 per stay. Mrs. Montagne booked a weekend for €550. Calculation: €550*0,05 = €27,50. Because this is less than the minimum, €30 is charged.
