Entering and changing prices

Have you created your price lists? Then you can start entering the prices.

You can enter prices in several ways.

Basic price list

First consider whether it is possible to use a basic price list. Working with a basic price list has many advantages. You fill a basic price list and link all your types to it. For each type, you can apply a factor compared to the basic price list. Factor means automatically increasing or decreasing a price list by a self-selected percentage and/or amount. When you change the basic price list, all types linked to it change with the appropriate factor.

Price columns

Decide whether you want to work with night prices or Length of Stay prices. And create your price columns accordingly. Length of Stay prices are prices per period, such as a midweek from Monday to Friday, a weekend from Friday to Monday or weekly prices

Do you have night prices which are higher on weekends? Then create 2 price columns. One for Monday - Friday and one for Friday - Monday.

Our advice is to work with overnight prices. This allows price lists to be entered and updated quickly. Please note: do you want to use price rules? This only works in combination with night prices.

Would you like to receive a fixed price for holidays such as Pentecost and Ascension Day regardless of when the guest arrives and how long the guest stays? Then enter the fixed price for the dates when the guest may arrive and the number of nights applicable in the weekly overview. Note: here you enter the price for the total number of nights (i.e. not the nightly price). You then deselect the nightly rates for these dates.

Year and week overview

If you go to Price lists, you will see the annual overview by default. The annual overview is meant to give you a rough idea of your pricing policy.

You have the option of deviating from the annual overview. You can do this in the relevant weekly overview, in addition, the weekly overview is a good tool to check the prices in the annual overview.

Does the price in the weekly overview differ from the annual overview? Then it has been overwritten and this week will turn yellow in the annual overview.

Flag symbol:

Je ziet een vlag symbool in het jaaroverzicht wanneer er in deze week een feestdag valt. Zweef met je muis over het symbool om te zien welke feestdag het betreft.

Calender symbol:

A calendar symbol is displayed in the year overview when you have entered a special period.

Entering and changing prices

In the price overview, you can enter and/or change a price in several ways:

  • By entering a price in one of the available fields. This can be done via the year and week overview;
  • By using the price generator at the top of the page. This allows you to enter the price for several weeks at once.
  • By exporting and importing prices.

Please note: If you enter a price of €0, the accommodation is free to book! Leave the field blank or enter a price, but never use €0.

Enter simple price lists

Traum-Ferien can also work with weekly prices from Monday to Monday. Do you have these prices in your price lists? Then you don't need to add simple prices. In that case, make sure that in the channel Traum-Ferien the checkbox simple prices is unchecked.
