Unique selling points vs. amenities

While editing your types, you can fill in both unique selling points and amenities. It is important to know the difference between the two, in order to use them in the most effective way. In this article, we will explain what the similarities and differences are between unique selling points and amenities. Also, we will give some recommendations on how to use them.

Amenities

Each type has different amenities, which are spread over amenity groups. For example: the amenity 'induction cooking' belongs to the amenity group 'kitchen'. You want to add as many amenities to a type as possible because this gives your guests a better image of the type they are booking.

Amenities are part of the factors that distinguish certain types from others, however that doesn't mean that every amenity is a unique selling point of that type.

You can find more about the creation of amenities and amenity groups here.

Unique selling points

Next to the amenities, you can also add five unique selling points, divided by a komma. This unique selling points make the rental or type even more interesting and might lead to the guest booking this type instead of another. Examples of unique selling points are: sauna, hottub, porch, or parking spots.

In case that you also make use of Booking Experts' BEX CMS, you can highlight these unique selling points in the Search & Book, to attract guests immediately during their booking process.
