Difference between auto emails and templates

When to use auto-emails and when to use templates?

Templates are e-mails sent at a fixed time that you can only personalise, turn on and off. These e-mails all have a function within Booking Experts. You have no influence on when the mail is sent. Nor can you determine which types you want to send it to or not. Nor can you exclude channels. In templates, you can use if/else tags to set different texts per channel, type or segment. You can create an auto e-mail yourself. You decide what you want to include in it, which filters you want to add and which types and/or segments you want to send it to or not. You can also exclude channels here. Examples of auto emails can be found here.
