Period groups

Period groups are applied for costs, packages, auto emails and discounts. Period groups determine when these items are valid. Examples include a discount that should only be active during school holidays, a cost item that is only applicable in winter, or an auto email that should only be sent in the days leading up to an annual event. If you edit the dates in period groups, the linked cost item, package, discount or auto email will update accordingly.

Period groups are created and edited in the Administration settings.

Using multiple period groups

For discounts and packages, you might use multiple period groups for different purposes. If you make a reservation in period group X, you will receive a discount in period group Y.

Non-consecutive dates in one period group

If, for example, you want a package to apply only on weekends, you can create a single period group that contains all weekends, but not any weekdays. You can do this for any date ranges you might want.

Please note, once a period group is in use, you cannot delete it. However, you can edit the dates to give it a new purpose. Take note of any linked costs/packages/emails before doing so.
