Create one-off tasks
One-off tasks are specific tasks, projects or activities that are performed only once, without repetition. These tasks can range from simple chores to complex professional projects.
One-off tasks are created within Booking Experts at four different levels; reservation, object, facility and without further linkage.
Creating a one-off task for a reservation
From within the reservation you can create tasks that have a direct link to the reservation, so when the reservation changes objects, the task will move with it.
At the bottom of the reservation, in the Tasks section, you can see the tasks that have already been scheduled. Here you also have the option to create a new task.
Example: Responding to spontaneous events
A guest has indicated when booking that they will be married for 10 years during their stay. You schedule a task when booking to deliver a personalised card and a box of chocolates on the day of arrival.
Create a one-off task for one (or more) object(s)
You can create a one-off task for one or more objects. You can do this from both the task overview and the task overview of the object. Create a one-off task now? Click here. Make sure that under applicability you select one or more objects to which the task applies.
Example 1: For one object
Cleaning has found during the final inspection that the toilet does not flush properly and creates a one-off task for the technical service, this task is created for the relevant object.
Example 2: For several objects
All waterfront objects need to be checked due to heavy rainfall the night before. Management creates a task for the objects concerned so that cleaning can check them.
